Internationally, he has been an invited speaker in Australia, India with the Mathrubhumi International Festival of Letters, Iceland, Italy with the European Wilderness Society, and Mexico with the San Miguel Writers Conference.
In America, he has presented for TEDx, the Green Mountain Club, and the Tucson Festival of Books. He has given presentations at Saguaro National Park, Cuyahoga National Park, and Black Canyon National Park. He has visited the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, Penn State, University of Arkansas, and Vermont College of Fine Arts, among many other universities.
